When pressure on board increases: How SeaWell is designed to support seafarers

The current situation on key shipping routes shows how strongly seafarers can be affected by stress, uncertainty and isolation. This is exactly why the AI-healthy ship project team – made up of scientists, shipping companies and IT specialists – is developing the the “SeaWell” app as a digital support tool: crew members receive concrete, personalised recommendations for health, recovery and well-being on board. These recommendations are based on data from wearables such as fitness watches and environmental sensors, as well as personal information and individual needs.
